Our lab is an interdisciplinary team of computational biologists, data scientists, and bioinformaticians. We are united by our mission to translate complex, multimodal data—from chemical structures to genomic pathways—into actionable biological insights.

About Me

I am a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Computational Biology at IIIT-Delhi, where I lead the Chemical Biology Laboratory. My research focuses on uncovering how molecular structure influences life at cellular and systemic levels. I believe that every chemical compound carries an encoded message about its biological behavior—its therapeutic potential, its risks, and its role in health, disease, and aging.

To decode this molecular language, my group designs cutting-edge computational technologies powered by artificial intelligence, multimodal data integration, and emerging large language model architectures. A defining aspect of our work is the fusion of chemistry with deep biological context. Instead of evaluating molecules in isolation, we place them within a unified bioactivity–chemical knowledge space enriched with genes, mutations, pathways, and multi-omics evidence. This approach delivers models that are both mechanistically grounded and predictive in real-world settings.

I also serve as a core member of the Infosys Center for Artificial Intelligence. My contributions to the field have been recognized through honors, including the EMBO Young Investigator Award and election as an Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Young Associate.

Our ultimate goal is to transform chemical data into actionable biological insights—accelerating drug discovery and shaping the future of precision healthcare.
